If I could, I’d rate this kit 4.5/5, rather than 4 – absolutely love this guitar, the flamed maple looks stunning, it plays like a dream and sounds great too! The tiniest of downsides were:
– One of the wires had come loose from the solderless connector, so had to be re-soldered back in
– The screwholes in the pickguard don’t seem to line up 100% with the holes in the body, but as I’m going to be adding a custom pickguard I’m ok with that – it also looks great with no pickguard!
Also not a criticism, but I swapped out the stock tuners for locking tuners, so can’t judge their quality.
All in all, a great kit and I’m already looking at my next kit from Coban!
